It wasn't a good flight, I got seats in the middle aisles, people started helping themselves and taking entire rows to sleep on so moving was not easy, I moved to the back of the plane because of two families with horrible noisy brats - the crew kept asking them to quiet them down, but they don't give a damn... It was -81f outside according to the screen, I should have opened the door, a nice short sharp shock often works wonders...

233 miles right now from Frankfurt at 41,000ft, and we passed over Cirencester, London, Dover, Brussels.... All places I have not seen in a long long time. So the next flight From Frankfurt gets me to Amsterdam, on KLM, and then I have less time there now, maybe 4-5 hours to wander around the old city before returning to the airport to fly back to Frankfurt this evening, then on to Zürich. I over night in Zürich, if I have the energy I will bus it into the city at night, then early tomorrow morning we go back to Kloten Field for a flight to Barcelona, gets me there early in the morning, so I have the full day. Both Zürich and Amsterdam I return to later of course.
So nothing too exciting on the flights to get to Europe, except that it was full of confusion, misery but the stop at St.Hubert at Montréal Dorval was definately worth it - as the in flight food was really, really bad. I am surprised, that's the worst I have seen by far of late.
I should have stuck with the Lufthansa flights, is the moral of this tale...
Ok... Will update in a little bit on my few hours to kill in Frankfurt.
*************
I am in Frankfurt it is probably just after midnight Monday morning back home. I am sitting with a 4 Euro latte as I have several hours to kill now, and the iPad just alerted me the flight from Philly to Amsterdam is landing in 7 mins... And I am in Frankfurt. Oh well, I ran down to the supermarket under the airport here, bought a can of shave foam stuff, and promptly had it confiscated going through security as it was 200 ml of liquid. I tried to argue as it is foam, it's really a fraction of that, but no.... But back at the pharmacy store, when I was in line to pay for it, some air crew type came rushing in and bought the biggest box of condoms you ever saw it's the size of bag of Oreos - and the guy at the till says "that's it for this week" and didn't even break a smirk. My life is so....quiet. Wow.
Gawd I am grumpy! No sleep, no space cake, no shave foam, that cost me €2.49
Ok, when I get to Amsterdam I am going for a space cake. I think I have done that on every other pass through, but today I have earned it.
If only I had hindsight I would have planned this so much better..... :)
This same thread will update in a few hours, happier no doubt, as I will be in a land of free love, peace and psychedelic colours... :)

Not sure if these are safe.

The sun came out this afternoon, which was more than welcome, as all I have seen in days is rain !
